
Xiangli Li, MD is a board-certified internist providing primary care to North County residents since 2015. As an internal medicine practitioner, Dr. Li provides primary care to adults – including preventive care, and diagnosing and treating chronic and acute
conditions. Dr. Li earned her medical degree from Shanghai Railway Medical University in China (Current Shanghai Tongji University School of Medicine). She completed residencies at Shanghai Ruijin Hospital and at Rutgers University New Jersey Medical School, and is board certified in internal medicine.
Before starting clinical practice, Dr. Li earned a PhD in nutrition at UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health at Chapel Hill. She was awarded research fellowships and conducted medical research in arthritis, colitis, diabetes, and infectious and allergic diseases at The Scripps Research Institute and UC San Diego School of Medicine. She has been published numerous times in peer-reviewed medical journals in the field of immunology.
Dr. Li’s interests include spending time with her family, reading, cooking, playing tennis, and watching sport games and movies.
