Xiangli Li, MD is a board-certified internist providing primary care to North County residence since 2015. As an internal medicine practitioner, Dr. Li provides primary care to adults – including preventive care, and diagnosing and treating chronic and acute conditions. Dr. Li earned her medical degree from Shanghai Railway Medical University in China where she graduated with honors. She completed residencies at Shanghai Ruijin Hospital and at Rutgers University New Jersey Medical School, and is board certified in internal medicine.
Before starting clinical practice, Dr. Li earned a PhD in nutrition at UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health at Chapel Hill. She was awarded research fellowships from the Arthritis Foundation and National Institutes of Health, and conducted medical research in arthritis, vaccine development, and infectious and allergic diseases at The Scripps Research Institute and UC San Diego School of Medicine. She has been published numerous times in peer-reviewed medical journals in the field of immunology and is a current member of the UC San Diego Health Physician Network.
Dr. Li’s interests include spending time with her family, reading, cooking, playing tennis, and watching sport games and movies.
